Phil-Mont's Jael Jackson to Continue Basketball Career at South Carolina State

On Monday, April 23, Phil-Mont Christian Academy Senior Jael Jackson signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her basketball career as a Lady Bulldog at Division 1 South Carolina State University of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (the MEAC).

Jackson, a 4-year varsity player and 3-Time All-BAL Conference selection, wrapped up an outstanding career at Phil-Mont Christian Academy which included two conference titles and a District 1 Championship.  One of the top shooters in the region, she holds the Phil-Mont record for three-pointers made in a game, and is second all-time in three-pointers made in a season and career. A two-time team MVP, she led the team in scoring and assists each of the past 2 seasons. She becomes the third Lady Falcon to sign a Division One scholarship in the last three years (along with Keyen Green and Tracey Goodman), and just the fifth in the 75-year history of the school.  She follows in the footsteps of her older sister Malinda Fife who also played Division 1 basketball at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and later West Chester University.

Jael was accepted into the South Carolina State University's Honors College

where she will study Pre-Med.
