Dock Mennonite Academy Comments

Another 2nd half comeback helped Dock capture its second win of the season (31 to 29) against the MaST CC Lady Panthers.

Sophomore captain, Kate Strickland led the team's surge with 13 points, 15 rebounds, five steals and four blocks, tallying her first double-double of the year.

Strickland made plays on both ends of the floor that contributed to stopping MaST, which fueled multiple fast breaks for the Lady Pioneers, and resulted in many trips to the free throw line.

Although Dock did not cash in on many of those free throw attempts (13 of 36), driving the ball to the basket and drawing those fouls were a major part of the team's game plan going into to Thursday night's contest.

For a young team to execute a game plan to that effect shows maturity, growth and a bright future for the Lady Pioneers, who only have one senior on the roster this season.

Gintare Tamulyte, Dock's lone senior contributed eight points (2 of 3 from beyond the arc), six rebounds and three steals.

Carsyn McCloskey tallied seven points, six steals and five rebounds.
